William Sporborg, a qualified Chartered Accountant, has spent the last twenty years investing in and managing unquoted companies. From 1992 to 1997, William worked at Hambro European Ventures investing in management buyouts and buyins with an enterprise value of between £10 million and £100 million. In 1997 William joined The NW Brown Group in Cambridge, one of the Eastern region’s leading independent financial services companies. William was one of the founders of The Cambridge Gateway Fund, established in early 2000, which raised over £35 million for investment into early stage technology and life science companies.
William left The Cambridge Gateway Fund in July 2005, to establish a portfolio of companies that enable high net worth individuals to invest in niche alternative asset classes in a tax efficient manner. William is managing partner of Managing Capital LLP, which provides management services to private companies. Clients have included six Breeding Capital companies, Racing Capital PLC and Dazzling Capital PLC, among others.
William’s role involves managing the affairs of the Company, including, but not limited to, executing the business plan, investor relations, corporate governance, and all legal, financial and regulatory matters.
